The apostle Paul penned this letter to the church at Ephesus to help them get established in, not only their identity in Christ, but also as the new church community called to fulfil God's purposes of being His vehicle for reconciliation in their society. His hope was that they would grow in maturity and ministry so as to demonstrate God's wisdom and character.
